Conolidine is found in the bark of the tropical flowering shrub Tabernaemontana divaricata, commonly called the pinwheel flower. The plant is native to southeast Asia, where it has extensive been used in conventional Chinese, Ayurvedic and Thai medicines to treat fever and pain.
